Requests

Here is your oppurtunity to request topics or suggest ideas of something you would like to see on themicrocosm. Would you like to see an article on Politics, Sex, Religion, or something oddball like what the hell is do people on the andaman islands do for fun on the weekends? Please tell us your deepest, darkest desires.

  1. You don’t want to know my deepest darkest desires, but I would like to request something about the House withdrawals that I’m sure you are plagued with. Be sure to include a lust-inducing photo of the good doctor, por favor.

  2. No problem. I have been wanting to jump into another piece about my favorite realist, but given the lackluster interest from the last post I have avoided it. But, I have avoided my own interests for long enough. Give me a few days and I should be able to paint a picture of my pain.

  3. Killer Cop: “The New Genocide”

This is the name of a group on Facebook, if you have the ability look it up and read their argument. I definitely think this would be interesting thing to get into.

  4. Did we really land on the moon? If so then why don’t we have solar powered hovercars yet?

  5. I have a request. Post something interesting for a change.

  6. So, most of you have probably noticed that themicrocosm has experienced a period of quiet. I have slowed down my writings on the blog to a crawl. It is for one simple reason. I am not as miserable as I used to be. The best stuff comes from pain and anger and deceit and conceit. Right now I am just not having those problems.

I blame quite a few issues for this:

    1. Sobriety – barring one night, I have been sober for much of the last few weeks following my buddy’s wedding.

    2. A determined future path – I have finally narrowed down my path for the future. It was like removing an Egyptian pyramid off my shoulders.

    3. Socially active – In the last few weeks I have been pre-occupied continuously with friends and family. I have met new people in Jacksonville, I have had still have a steady stream of friends visiting from all parts of the country and I have the coolest new friend who is my neighbor.

    4. Work purpose – I have found that the more that is on my plate a work the happier I am. Less free time means more focused time.

All this frustratingly good issues have stolen my ability, time, and I must admit even desire to write painfully interesting articles. Don’t worry though. It won’t last. It never does. I will be back in the gutter in no time.

  7. Well, let’s hope it last a little while for you; it’s no good to be in a constant state of “peril.” But if you do start to spiral downward again, let’s hope your grammar comes back with it.

  8. Well, I’m glad that someone is enjoying life right now. I’d savor it while it lasts.

  9. It is interesting that my writer’s block occurs for the same reasons that inspire you to write. Hence the small amount of material I’ve mustered up since this blog began. Too much crap on the brain, a perceived lack of freedom, and excessive stress equals a lack of creativity for me.

And here you are telling us you have figured out your path. This, my friend, is monumental and I look forward to our conversation about it.

  10. Add me as a contributor!

  11. Yeah you right!

  12. when are you going to write a review of ‘burn after reading’?

  13. as soon as I get to the theater to watch it. Hopefully tonight or tomorrow.
