Hell’s Kitchen Season 4, Episode 7
Another busy day at the office (no, not this office), so I have little time for a full Hell’s Kitchen recap.
But last night was interesting with Matt on the girls’ team and tempers flaring all night on both sides. It is getting hot in the kitchen.
My thoughts about last night’s episode are after the jump. Please feel free to interject your own in the comments.
- Matt was surprisingly good last night, which makes me wonder: Was he faking bad all along in the men’s kitchen just to get switched over to the Red team? Doubt it, because even a blind squirrel finds a nut every now and then.
- Rosann, Rosann, Rosann. It was nice knowing you, but as soon as the women lose you likely will be shown the exit. Unless, of course, Matty saves your ass.
- It was obvious half-way through the show that Ben was struggling and digging himself into a deep, deep hole. He really showed his true colors as a manipulative bastard by the end of the episode, and I was glad to see him leave even though I liked him at the beginning.
- There were two commercials during HK that I really enjoyed: One for Snapple Antioxidant Water and the other was one of those drug-free public service ads.
- I think Petrozza really is standing out on the men’s side. Yes, he was a slob last night but that comes with the territory sometimes. He is one of the stronger on the men’s side, which is down to three chefs now.
- Next week, one of the Red team chefs has to volunteer to join the Blue team. I think it is obvious that it will not be Matt. I think Jen is a possibility.
- Matt is so gone next week.

I said in the second comment “unless, of course, Matty saves your ass.” Which is what I think will happen next week.
If we are lucky, Ramsay will show both of them the door.
Ok, fuck this past episode. Not because it was not entertaining. I was glued to my chair. I found a way out of going to help my cousin change her flat tire to see it, but because Ben didn’t deserve to leave. First of all, this was classic play up by a reality show. Make somebody look like they are going to win and then shoot them down to make the underdog look good. I’m sure with the cuts they showed, Ben looked like a manipulative chef, but that was only part of his genius. Not only has he consistently been near the best with the guys, he nailed just as many of the ingredients as Matt.
If anyone deserved to leave it was Rosann. Ramsay should have called Ben out and then picked Rosann to leave. This was total bullshit. I would not be surprised if Corey was the one to switch over. She doesn’t show much love for any of the girls and she probably thinks she can manipulate the boys, especially LouRoss.
Petrozza is undeniably humble and quiet, but he has screwed up multiple times.
Matt’s a bitch. His risotto tasted like monkey ass. I know, Ramsay called me after the show.
haha, very entertaining comment microcosm. I agree with some of you points, but not all. Rosann, will definitely be gone the next time she is able to get to the block. I don’t think there’s anything Matty-boy can do about it. I don’t think Ben deserved to go considering it’s the first time we’ve seen him very weak. However, out of the four, who else should have gone? Picking Rosann out of the blue would have been justified and …awesome, but it was a long shot. I’ve never seen anyone through a gang sigh, but she has apparently mastered it. For any of you Matt-lovers out there, you’d better hope his newfound cockiness doesn’t do any further damage to his already pathetic image, but boy would I like to see Ramsay catch him in the act and rip what’s left of his balls off. ‘Nuff said.
Jen will be going to the blue team.
Damn son, nice screen capture!
Well, fuck me sideways, that should be entertaining. And MrNiceGuy, “through a gang sigh”? I guess you mean: Throw a gang sign. LOL
yes, i suppose i did mean throw, but it was funny, nonetheless. Go ahead and coin that term, gang sigh…she put her hands over her face in disappointment, but before hand she looked to be throwing a gang sigN.
First of all, I’d like to say that although this show is quite entertaining, if my cousin had a flat tire and asked me to help him/her I would not think twice about leaving Hell’s Kitchen to go help. Family comes first and I can always watch the show online.
As for my opinion on the episode, Matt needs to shut the hell up before he gets himself in trouble. Actually, what am I saying? Keep talking you fat bitch then maybe you’ll get kicked off finally! I’m glad Ben was eliminated. He talks shit and then does a crappy dinner service and expects to stay on board? Bullshit. Yes, he is manipulative, but he also sucks at that which is why he is gone. My theory is that he got cocky and annoyed with Matt, got rid of Matt(by pure luck) and then panicked when he didn’t have anyone to blame but himself. As for the girls, Jen needs to lose her attitude with Ramsay. If she is going to try and run things, she needs to do it discreetly and not right behind him where he can hear her. I agree with whoever said that they see Corey or Jen going to the men’s team. I think out of all the girls it will be one of them. I think Rosann is really really lucky because, although I like her, she’s been sucking it up for the past three episodes and has escaped from elimination each time. She needs to step up and learn how to cook a piece of meat.
themicrocosm, this is that cousin that you “got out of helping” and that was a DoucheBag move if Ive ever seen one.
love ya DB
