As the day nears, I realize that it is time to consider the value of mothers.  A national holiday is dedicated to their service as caretakers, confidantes, the last resort, the first resort, nurturers, etc etc.  Without mothers, we would not be here, but that is simple biology.  They carry the fetus in womb and so forth.  However, there are some notable questions to be asked about mothers and society.  Why do so many mothers avoid taking care of children anymore?  Read more »
